BOGOR – Independent Online Media (MIO) DPD Bogor Regency held a first year working meeting, Saturday (8/01/22). As a result, there are 15 items of work plan programs that are arranged.
The Head of Independent Online Media (MIO) Irfan Lubis SE is grateful that the inaugural working meeting in the second year went smoothly. He hopes that all the programs arranged in the activity themed 'Creating Professional, Independent and Competent Press Personnel' can be run well.
"Alhamdulillah, the first working meeting in this period has gone well and smoothly. There were 15 work programs that were produced as a reference for MIO in the first year. Hopefully the program can be implemented. Especially those who are in contact with other stakeholders while continuing to carry out our main duties as journalists," said Irfan
Siregar, Secretary of MIO, said that the overall work program focused on internal and external strengthening.
"The focus of the work program in this first year is to strengthen internal institutions, human resources (HR) and also to establish partnerships with external parties. Such as the private sector, government and law enforcement officers," explained Siregar
Meanwhile Kasdi Weno of the MIO expert council, Apart from immediately having his own office, establishing partnerships with law enforcement officers is very important to provide legal protection for journalists when carrying out their duties in the field.
“So the cases that happened to fellow journalists, especially those who are under MIO, are protected as long as the cases are related to the work of journalists. Because organizationally, full responsibility to protect. In addition, partnerships with the government are also important to participate in regional development, especially Bogor Regency," he explained.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson Yayang Lesmana SE, his party has also compiled a number of HR competency improvement programs. In addition to journalist training and competency tests, his party will also provide investigative training.
"Hopefully with this training, journalists under the MIO of Bogor Regency can further hone their skills, especially in conducting investigative reporting," said Yayang Lesmana.
In addition to these programs, the Bogor Regency MIO has two strategic plans formed through an add-hock agency. Namely, R & D MIO and MIO Peduli.
